Oprah and Dr. Oz Put a Stop to False Ads

Since the mention of açaí berry benefits on the Oprah show, spammers marketers across the web have developed ad campaigns that claim their product is endorsed by Oprah or Dr. Oz or both of them.

News flash people: the ads are fake.  If you were gullible enough to fall for one of these ads shame on you.  Do you really think Oprah would endorse a product that advertised with cheesy internet claims?

“Consumers should be aware that Oprah Winfrey is not associated with nor does she endorse any açaí berry product or online solicitation of such products. Attorneys for Harpo are pursuing any companies that claim such an affiliation.”

It is said that over 40 companies have been involved in this suit.

The news said today that the FTC is considering requiring celebrities that endorse products to actually use them.
